I met with EVN today in toronto.  They head to New York tonight.  I was impressed with the company's professionalism and work ethic.  They have staff turnover down to 12{7d2759035a2769ee7a6afa7c646e6642b67314b0cd0e17ac0c6ae4f965ff87d9} from 30{7d2759035a2769ee7a6afa7c646e6642b67314b0cd0e17ac0c6ae4f965ff87d9}, and I was also impressed with their positive assessment of numerous other aussie miners.  It wasn't just an EVN horn blowing session by any means.

The key to seeing bigger institutional interest in the sector is an uptick in money velocity and inflation.  The aussie companies have generally got their management houses in order now, and so even a very modest increase in the AUD gold price from here (say $100 over 6 - 12 mths) is massively beneficial to a lot of these companies.

EVN is also now backed by large money from an Egyptian power player who is increasing his stake in the aussie gold stock party.

All in all, the pgen must rule your buy and sell points, not EVN managements positive or negative statements about gold, and I think EVN mgt is going to be pleasantly surprised by what China brings to not just gold demand, but to gold market infrastructure.
